Yes! You’ve booked (or thinking of booking) your very first house cleaning service in Cambridge with Sweeply. Great to have you on board! We understand it can be a bit scary to let a cleaner in your home for the first time and that you might have questions about our service. To help you understand what to expect and make things as easy as possible for you, we’ve put a few tips together so you can make the best out of your first clean.
1. Make sure your contact details are correct
Once you book a cleaner in Cambridge with us, it’s always a good idea to double check your contact details. This will allow us to get in touch and your cleaner to contact you. We also use your email address and mobile phone number to send you reminders about your cleaning service, so you know exactly when to expect us!
2. Leave instructions for your cleaner
By leaving instructions on the booking form on how to find your home, you can help your cleaner to arrive on time. Some of our cleaning teams arrive by car, so if you have parking available please do let us know. If there’s anything else we should know about (how to get access to your home, pets at the property etc.) you can add comments to your booking by logging in to your account.
3. Check what’s included in your home cleaning service
Your cleaning professionals use a checklist for every clean. So whether you have booked a Standard, Deep or Move in/out Clean, we’d kindly suggest you have another look at our checklist to see exactly what’s included in your service. After finishing cleaning, our teams will leave the checklist in your home for you to inspect. Need something done that’s not on the list? Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help!.
4. Add additional services
It’s never too late to give your home that little bit of extra attention. After booking with us, you can still add extras to your cleaning service. We can help with oven cleaning, cleaning the inside of the fridge, carpet cleaning, interior window cleaning and ironing. Simply login to your Sweeply account. update your booking and we’ll take care of the rest!
5. Check your equipment
It’s important to make sure your cleaner will have everything they need to give your home in Cambridge the best clean possible. Your cleaner will bring all the supplies, but we would kindly ask you to leave a vacuum, bucket and mop accessible for them (except for end of tenancy cleans in Cambridge). Please check if your equipment is in good condition and your hoover is working! If your equipment has seen better days, do let us know and we will ask your cleaner to bring along the equipment. In case you added ironing to your booking, don’t forget to let us know where to find the iron and ironing board.
6. Meet and greet your cleaner
We do recommend our customers who signed up for a recurring cleaning service to be in for the first clean. This will allow you to meet your cleaner face-to-face, get to know them and show them around. It will give you an opportunity to talk them through what and how you would like your home to be cleaned. Feel free to let your cleaner know what’s most important to you and and what tasks they should prioritise on. Some of our customers also choose to hand over a key to their cleaner after the first visit.
7. Relax and take a step back!
That’s it, you’ve done all the hard work! All that’s left now is to wait for your cleaner to arrive and leave your home spotless. In the meantime why not find some fun things to see and do on our Cambridge blog? We’ve found the best things for you to do in Cambridge now you’ve got your time back and not having to worry about the cleaning.
